Apple Tartlet

Hi there! yes, I’ve been cooking… again, and I wanted to show you a very easy and quick recipe, to make a dessert without many ingredients. I haven’t had much time or strength lately, so it was the perfect recipe to prepare.

I bought on saturday little tartlet tins and I thought I’ll give it a try and make my apple pie in single servings, they are so little and so cute 😀

A tip, use the tins with the loose bases, they make your life sooooo much easier 😉

Ingredients for 4 tartlets (aprox.12 Ø tins) or one 20 Ø flan tin

For the short-pastry:

  • 125 gr flour
  • 30 gr sugar
  • 60 gr butter
  • 1 egg

For the filling:

  • 2 apples
  • apricot jam
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 gelatine leafs

Preparation

For the tartlet crust, mix the flour and butter with your fingers in a bowl. Once the flour and butter are well mixed, add sugar and the egg until it makes a nice dough. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and save in the fridge for 1 hour.

Cut the pastry in 4 similar pieces (Not necessary if you are just using one big tin), and roll them on a lightly floured surface. Always roll from the centre outwards, rotating the dough, rather than rolling backwards and forwards. Roll the pastry back over the rolling-pin so it is hanging, and ease it into the tin.

Peel the apples, cut into quarters, cut out the seeds and cut into thin slices. Put a thin layer of apricot jam on the dough and then place the apple slices clockwise from the outside.

Warm up the water with 2 ts apricot jam and the gelatine till everything is well mixed and dissolved. Cover the apple slices with the mixture and bake in a preheated 180 ºC oven for 30 minutes until apples are browned.

Best served cold.

    • Pues, las manchas de baba no sé,, pero hay ahora un tipo “blandiblu” que lo pones sobre el teclado y te lo deja limpio limpio niquelao 😉 Para otros consejos de limpieza y demás, siga visitandu ustd mi blog :-* qué haría yo sin mi fan Nº1!
